Participation requirements

1. Students must form teams of 3 to 5 people, including, if they wish, students from other disciplines or from other universities.

2. Recent graduates who wish to participate must form teams of recent graduates of 2 or 3 people maximum.

3. NEW: The 2011 Charrette is also open to Canadian university students who are currently participating in study-abroad or exchange programs. In addition, teams may include students from foreign universities, provided that at least one team member is affiliated with one of the following institutions: Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM), Université de Montréal (UdeM), McGill University, Université Laval, Carleton University, Ryerson University or University of Toronto.

4. Teams must register online and provide the names and addresses of all team members, the team leader, and the name of their university. Each team will receive a team number for identification.

Submission requirements

5. A digital panel, A1 horizontal in PDF format (maximum size of 10MB) must be submitted using the form that you will receive after your registration. The team number must appear in the name of the file and at the bottom right of the panel.

6. NEW: one key image (.jpg or .tif format, maximum size of 3MB). The team number must appear in the name of the file.

7. NEW: a video interview of 30-60s of the presentation of the project (.avi, .mpeg4 ou .f4v format, maximum size of 30 MB). The team number must appear in the name of the file.

All project submissions (PDF, key images, video) will be posted on the Charrette 2011 website (www.cca.qc.ca/website) for voting by the public. The names of authors withheld until after the awards ceremony.

Given the changes to the submission requirements, the organizers reserve the right to print the winning entries, if required and at their cost, for public presentation. Due credit will be given to the authors for their participation in the 2011 Charrette.
