Fonds
The Pierre du Prey fonds documents Pierre du Prey’s work as a researcher and writer on the history of architecture. The fonds contains documents related to his work for "The Villas of Pliny: from antiquity to posterity," published in 1994, and a catalog he produced on Ockham Park in Surrey, England, for Phyllis Lambert’s 90th birthday in 2016. The fonds also documents chapters or articles du Prey wrote for four separate publications on the history of architecture published between 2015-2020. The material includes notes, du Prey’s manuscripts, dummy versions of his publications, correspondence, and financial documents related to publishing.
Furthermore, the fonds contains general correspondence sent and received by du Prey regarding his research and his work as an architectural historian. It is also comprised of texts for lectures he gave, notes, programs and proceedings for conferences he attended as well as correspondence, invitations and press clippings from or about the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
The fonds is arranged in four series:
AP133.S1 The Villas of Pliny: From antiquity to posterity, 1988-1994;
AP133.S2 Research on the Ockham Park album, 1983-2016;
AP133.S3 Articles 2015-2018
AP133.S4 Correspondence, lectures, conferences, and agendas
