When considering the many crises facing contemporary societies around the world, it becomes clear that new ways of thinking are needed and that the search for innovation often returns to curiously familiar ideas. What are the roles and responsibilities of a research museum within this context? How can a museum situate itself between specific disciplinary conversations and popular urgencies in order to be public? Focusing on recent and upcoming projects at the CCA, Lev Bratishenko, Curator, Public will present some approaches.
