This performance is part of Garage Club, a series of free experimental shows in the CCA’s garage during the summer.
Petra Glynt is art punk with vibrato. Political, vibrant, and full of life, Petra Glynt’s music is a full-blown assault on the senses. On 7 September 2018, Glynt released her self-produced sophomore album My Flag Is A Burning Rag of Love with the Toronto-based independent label Pleasance and embarked on her first solo tour of the USA.
Am DeVito is a Montréal-based interdisciplinary artist weaving soundscapes through vibrant, textural worlds and unique, sonic architecture. Creative coding and aspects of formalized music become intertwined in immersive environments, while blurring the line between whether the aural paints the visual or the visual paints the aural.
The 2019 Garage Club series is co-curated with Alexandra Mackenzie, a Montréal-based singer-songwriter-composer, performing artist, visual artist, and producer, best-known as Petra Glynt.
