Lunchtime Concert: Daniel Áñez plays the synthesizer

Event, Parc Baile, 30 August, 12:30pm

Daniel Áñez:

Daniel Áñez specializes in contemporary Latin American repertoire. He is part of the Ensemble CG in Bogota, and Wapiti and Paramirabo in Montreal. He also co-directs the No Hay Banda concert series. Fascinated by avant-garde music and its complexity, he fosters spaces for artists working on the fringes and creates events that explore the limits of musical experience.

These free lunchtime concerts have performers adjust their repertoire on the fly, in conversation with the audience and how you are feeling. They may not make you sad. The series is inspired by the exhibition Our Happy Life.

The series is co-curated with the Montreal-based cellist Elinor Frey.
