How can Emerging Indigenous practitioners find their voice, culture and perspective in the elaborate world of design? In this session, Naomi Ratte (Peguis First Nation) will reflect on the creation of the Indigenous Design and Planning Students Association (IDPSA) at the University of Manitoba and expand on how this association became and remains an important community. She will discuss the effort and vision behind the creations of the Voices of the Land book. Naomi will also discuss her design methodology and involvement on the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects Reconciliation Advisory Committee as the Co-Chair.
