Challenges of Architectural Archives in Japanese Universities

The seminar, organized by Kyushu University, addresses the challenges faced by Japanese universities with their architectural archives. The majority of the Shoei Yoh archive resides at Kyushu University. The CCA holds 6 projects by Shoei Yoh which were part of the Archaeology of The Digital project. At the seminar Martien de Vletter (Associate Director, Collection) will speak about the importance of the Yoh archive at the CCA, and the activities around his legacy. Anna Haywood (Archivist) will share her experience processing hybrid born-digital and physical archival collections and present these processes through the lens of the Yoh archive.
