Tillitarniit at CCA – home, body, land

Inuit festival of games, stories, and cinema
Event, in English and French, Park Baile, 15 August 2024 to 17 August 2024, 6pm

Over three evenings on 15–17 August, join us for free outdoor Inuit games, stories, food, and films, in parc Baile as part of the 4th edition of the Tillitarniit Festival. Organized by Inuk visual artist and filmmaker asinnajaq, this year’s festival titled home, body, land will bring together Inuit artists and filmmakers who are shaping today’s world with stories from Inuit communities. Weaving together a polyphonic tapestry of stories around home—our own bodies, our communities, and our lands. We will move through many worlds; the devastating, the magical, and the joyful.

Each evening, we will share stories and games from 6pm before an open-air film screening on the CCA façade around 8pm. Bring your own chairs and blankets (we’ll have cushions). Special treats by Chef Swaneige will be offered before the films.

The event is free and open to all.

Tillitarniit was originally founded in 2017 by asinnajaq and Stephen Puskas and the first two editions, in 2017 and 2018, took place with support from the FOFA Gallery.
