The CCA holds 466 works by Guido Guidi (Cesena 1941). This retrospective at MAXXI in Rome, to which the CCA is lending 40 photographs, focuses on Guidi’s research on the home, the artist’s studio, and places of work, life, and meeting for young artists, bringing together his early works and experiments in the 1860s and 1970s, to his personal research on landscape and large-format commissions from the 1980s and 1990s, up to his most recent projects from the 2000s. Francesco Garutti, Associate Director Programs at the CCA, curated a selection of works for the exhibition that focuses on the relationship between Guidi, the CCA, and Phyllis Lambert.
