Composing, Selecting, Deleting: Film as a Curatorial Tool at the CCA

CCA elsewhere, in English and French, Cinémathèque Québécoise, 23 November 2024, 5pm to 7pm

For several years now, the CCA has been interested in using film as a curatorial tool to approach the object of study and its environment, to discover the complexities that condition its being and becoming, to take the pulse of reality and the multiple perspectives that shape it, and to develop a point of view towards it. We discovered that film documented as much as it evoked, recorded as much as it questioned.

Join us at the Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire for Composing, Selecting, Deleting: Film as Curatorial Tool at the CCA, for a screening of our most recent documentary, Into the Island, and a conversation between Irene Chin, Francesco Garutti, Giovanna Borasi, and Roxanne Labrèche on the use of film in spatial studies and storytelling.
