Please join us for a conversation around the publication Short Stories, published by Park Books, with Daniel Zamarbide (BUREAU), Josianne Poirier (Fondation Grantham), and Arianne Ouellette-Pelletier (Laval University).
The practice of BUREAU operates at the intersection of architecture, scenography, design, landscape design, and education. Founded in 2012, the firm focuses on building new structures and converting existing ones, as well as interior design, furniture, exhibition design, inhabitable sculptures, and temporary pavilions. Their buildings and interventions feature spatial experiments and unusual shapes and perspectives, and play with the factor of time. BUREAU thus navigates across the traditional boundaries of architecture, design, visual art, architectural teaching, and cultural education.
Short Stories includes brief texts—some narrative, some descriptive and categorizing—contributed by architects and researchers Fabrizio Gallanti, André Tavares, and Marina Otero Verzier; curators and critics Julia Albani and Tirdad Zolghadr; designer and curator Alexandra Midal; and Daniel Zamarbide architect and co-founder of BUREAU.
This event is open to the public, no reservation needed.
