It’s time for a systemic change in the way we design and value the built environment. The way we build is not ecologically sustainable. The building industry is responsible for 38 percent of the world’s annual production of greenhouse gases. During Nuit Blanche at the CCA, we invite you to come and discuss, reflect, and be inspired by the actions of the German architecture collective bplus, who are advocating and taking action to change laws in Europe to recognize the ecological, cultural, social, and economic value of the built environment.
Join us for:
- Tours of our exhibition To Build Law, presenting the HouseEurope campaign. The tours start every 20 minutes from 7pm to midnight, lasting 15 minutes each.
- A workshop to create your own poster and slogan to support change from 7pm to midnight.
- A selection of books on the subject in our bookshop.
And to continue your evening:
- An experimental music performance by artist Adam Basanta, Small movements. With reused objects, Basanta invites us to meditate on the instability of sound production from 10pm to 11:30pm.
- Pop-up bar from WILLS brewery, open from 7pm to 1am.
The evening is presented in partnership with MUTEK.
