Tim Benton presents another reading of the exhibition The University Is Now on Air: Broadcasting Modern Architecture through a counter-tour. Rather than a tour through the galleries that gives voice to the curator’s ideas, counter-tours propose critical, subversive, corrective, or alternative versions of a given project through encounters with the particular perspectives of special guests.
Tim Benton is Professor Emeritus of Art History at the Open University. He has also taught at Columbia University, Williams College, and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He was the course team chair of A305, History of Architecture and Design 1890–1939, the first Open University course on the history of architecture.
