Ludwig Engel presents an alternative reading of the exhibition Utopie Radicali: Florence 1966–1976 that tries to understand why we’re so intrigued by these architects today. Perhaps it has something to do with their visual techniques and media strategies, their use of collective forms in an unstable political climate, or their embrace of technology as a progressive tool?
Counter-tours propose critical, subversive, and alternative visions of an exhibition through encounters with the perspectives of special guests who are equipped with a projector to digitally add objects and a black cloth to remove existing objects from the galleries. Engel is a futurist and urbanist who teaches strategy and futurology at the University of Fine Arts Berlin and architecture at the Technical University Berlin.
Utopie Radicali: Florence 1966–1976 is organized by the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Fondazione CR Firenze and Osservatorio per le Arti Contemporanee, Florence.
