View of a statue of a farmer and a horse with the Machinery Hall in the left background and the Manufacturing and Liberal Arts Building in the right background, 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exhibition, Chicago, Illinois
1893
- This statue was located on the south side of the Grand Basin at the stairs which led to the boarding of the gondolas which circled the basin, canals, pond and lagoon. The statue appears to be incomplete as one of the farmer's' hands is formed as a fist, presumably to hold the horse's reins which have not yet been installed.
