Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

Passe-partout style housing with a white paper mat on top of the image plate. Mat has thin lines drawn in dark ink around the image opening and a simple frame holds the object together. The board on the verso of the object is covered with a sheet of German newspaper from the 1880s.
