Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

- The secondary support is attached to the CCA mount with two paper corners with woven tape on the lower left and lower right and a clear plastic corner on the upper right.

Inscription:

stamped - in typescript and black ink, on the secondary support, verso, lower left: "CREDIT LINE / PHOTOGRAPH BY / LAURA GILPIN" labelled and imprinted - in typescript and black ink, on a white paper label attached to the upper centre of the secondary support, verso, upper left: "LG" [monogram]; upper centre: "PHOTOGRAPHS / BY LAURA GILPIN / BOX 1173, SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO"; centre: with title and / "The first church was built at / this pueblo soon after 1620. But the / first and subsequent buildings were / either wholly or partially destroyed. / The upper half of this present church / is comparatively recent. The bell brought / from Mexico in 1720." [double black border frames top and bottom of label] inscribed - by an unknown hand, in pink pencil, on the secondary support, lower right: "Property of / W. J. van de Meer"
