Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

- Clamshell case of light brown cloth-covered boards with a rectangular brown leather label with gilt lettering on the spine. Contemporary binding consists of moderate brown cloth-covered boards, with blind impressed trim on boards and spine, white binding tape, and white moiré endpapers and flyleaves. Album comprises 90 individual photographs and 3 panoramas, all albumen silver prints, mounted on 85 very light blue cardboard pages. All panoramas comprise photographs joined together and adhered directly to album pages. All photographs are framed with gold tape borders, a single ruled border line in black ink and double ruled border lines in red ink, except photographs PH1981:0787:088 - PH1981:0787:093, which have only a single ruled border line in red ink, and photograph PH1981:0787:060 and panorama PH1981:0787:061:001-004, which have no red ink border lines. Photographs PH1981:0787:033, PH1981:0787:079, PH1981:0787:086 are detached.
