Immediate source of acquisition or transfer:
  • The material in this fonds was deposited at the CCA by the Fabrique de la Paroisse de Notre-Dame de Montréal in 1996.
Custodial history:
  • The documents were conserved by the churchwardens of the Fabrique, in the church, until they were deposited at the CCA in 1996.
Archivist's note:
  • Following the deposit of the documents at the CCA in 1996, 367 of drawings were catalogued at the item level by Julia Bourianova. In 2008, the drawings were organized by subject (Notre-Dame de Montréal; St. Patrick's Church; Cemeteries; Orphelinat Catholique; Propriete 1098 Rue St-Denis) by Alexis Lenk, creating the classification scheme available in this finding aid. It was at this time that the rest of the objects in the fonds were catalogued. As part of data cleanup related to AMS migration in 2023, Jillian Forsyth edited the online finding aid to ensure compliance with the most recent CCA standards.
