- This drawing was probably formerly laid down on a secondary support as were many of the drawings of the group DR1981:0017:001 R/V - DR1981:0017:079 R/V. The sheet has been trimmed at the r. edge.

Inscription:

inscribed - by the draughtsman, in pen and brown ink, b. third of sheet: "Caso che bisognasse fare un copero con le ca[vene] senza / chiave per po[tter] alzassi col molto, io credo che / si potrebbe fare conforme alli sopra disegnati / esempii, cioue [sic] A. et B., quale [...]omera piu commodo, aver[t]endo pero che non po[tt]essimo alzassi con il coperto / piu di canto, e ci bisogna alzare il molto; che / quando non ci fusse impedito l'alzare il coperto / formarebbe meglio alzassi quando bisogna e [si li] / fare il dubbio che si potrebbe [...]avere circa la fe- / rmezza di questa inventione -- Danese"; and with letters identifying *** inscribed - by a contemporary hand, in pen and brown ink, cl.l.: "il coperto per la Chiave"
