- This secondary support was formerly bound into an album as indicated by the guard, the number indicating pagination, and the discolouration at the l.r. corner where the page was turned. An offset image of DR1981:0017:055 V, probably traced over by a later hand, indicated where the drawing was formerly laid down.

Inscription:

inscribed - by the draughtsman, in pen and brown ink, l.l.: "Disegni da mettere nel libro" [reversed] inscribed and numbered - on the secondary support, by a contemporary hand, in pen and brown ink, l.l.: "42"; and u.l.: "AA"
