- The guard which remains attached to the [location] of this drawing indicates that it was formerly laid down on a secondary support, as were many of the drawings of the group DR1981:0017:001 R/V - DR1981:0017:079 R/V.

Inscription:

inscribed - by the draughtsman, in pen and brown ink, u.c.: "Argine / MONTONE FIVME / Sboratore"; and l.l. to l.r.: "Dissegno dello Sboratore, et Chiavica del Molino Vecchio che si trova al p[ar]tite nella ripa destra del fiume / Montone, sopra il Canale del detto Molino; la qual fabrica [per] essere esposta al corso dell'acque [sheet trimmed] / ritrova in parte demolita; onde stando in tal termine non puo servire [per] regolare l'acque [per] fare mac- / cinare il Molino come era solito; ne meno torna conto a farsi spesa pe[rc]he non si farebbe opera sicura; / ma si bene comple a far di nuovo detta fabrica, come mostra il dissegno che e qui nel rettroscritto foglio" numbered - by a contemporary hand, in pen and brown ink, l.r.: "54"
