Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

- This drawing is laid down on a secondary support which was formerly bound into an album as indicated by the guard, the number indicating pagination, and the discolouration at the l.r. corner where the page was turned. Dots and lines appear around the contour of the horse in the upper drawing. These indentations, used for transferring the image, were made after the drawing was laid down on the secondary support, since they appear on the drawing laid down on the verso of the secondary support.
