Description:

This object is composed of drawings mounted on the recto and verso of a leaf that has been removed from an album. On the recto is a Bird's-eye view of the area around the Valle di Comacchio. This bird’s-eye view is composed of two sheets that have been laid side-by-side on the page, with some of the drawing continuing onto the page itself. The sheet laid down on the right has a sketch of a monument on its verso. A design for the top of a crosier is mounted on the verso of the leaf.

Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

- Drawing is in two parts. The smaller part was formerly numbered DR1981:0017:075 R/V. Traces of old glue at right where DR1981:0017:075 V was formerly laid down, completing the drawing. - This drawing is laid down on a secondary support which was formerly bound into an album as indicated by the guard, the number indicating pagination, and the discolouration at the lower right corner where the page was turned. Sheets have been laid down on the left and right sides of the secondary support, with the drawing extending throughout the primary supports and secondary support above. - An offset image of the inscription from the verso of the sheet laid down on the right appears on the secondary support. - Verso: This drawing is laid down on a secondary support which was formerly bound into an album as indicated by the guard and the letters indicating pagination.
