- Contemporary binding consists of brown cloth-covered boards and spine. There are gold gilt inscriptions on the cover and spine. Endpapers are of greenish black paper. Pages are of brownish white paper with gold gilt edging. Secondary supports are of brownish white cardboard with gold gilt edging. The book comprises a title page, table of contents, 44 pages of text, 30 photographs and 2 advertisements for books published by Richard Allen and Son. The pages and secondary supports of the book are unbound from the book, but are still housed in the cover.
