Documented works include projects in Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Chicago office (1946-1953), "The Tall Building: The Effects of Scale" (Master's Thesis, I.I.T., 1953), reinforced concrete projects in Rome (1954-1955), and later projects such as the Robert R. McMath Solar Telescope, Kitt Peak, Arizona (1962), and Ruck-a-Chucky Bridge, California (1978). Includes 2,800 drawings and prints, 10,000 photographs, 11 linear meters of files, and 4 models.

Myron Goldsmith (1918-1996) was born in Chicago, Illinois. B. Sc., Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, 1939. Architect and structural engineer, Office of Mies van der Rohe, 1946-1953. M.S. (Arch.), I.I.T. 1953. Studied in Rome under Pier Luigi Nervi, 1953-1955. Engineer, Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, in San Francisco, 1955-1958, and architect with SOM in Chicago, 1958-1989. Professor, I.I.T., 1961-1990.
