The ambition to integrate "sensitive" approaches in landscape and urban design is increasingly valued in the speeches about the city. The politicians see it as a challenge to promote an attractive city, the professionals see it as a response to critics of too functional and speculative development, and the citizens see it as an issue of local reappropriation. It expresses the need for urban thinking that is more respectful of people and the bonds, affects and feelings they feel about their places of life. Based on the results of the research project ACTive Factory of Landscape (FACT) conducted in Ile-Saint-Denis, the contours of a new and more sensitive urban design are emerging. For 3 years, FACT revealed places and landscapes through urban artistic interventions. FACT has brought out the spatial language of the sensitive, the sensory and emotional experience of places, and the expression of designers and artists.
