Summary:

Het archief van de Amsterdamse architect Hans Hagenbeek is onlangs geïnventariseerd. In 2019 wordt het ondergebracht bij het Amsterdamse Stadsarchief. Voor de architect en voor uitgever Architectura et Natura was dit aanleiding om een publicatie over zijn werk te maken. Marijke Beek nam het grootste deel van onderzoek en teksten voor haar rekening. Het zwaartepunt van de publicatie ligt bij de stadsvernieuwing in de Amsterdamse Nieuwmarktbuurt, die tegenwoordig weer volop in de belangstelling staat. Maar ook aan zijn veel minder bekende vroegere en latere werk wordt uitgebreid aandacht besteed. Arjan Bronkhorst maakte fraaie fotoseries van Hagenbeeks werk voor het boek, dat maart 2018 wordt gepresenteerd.
