Summary:

Fala is an architecture practice founded in 2013 in Porto, Portugal. It is led by Filipe Magalha?, Ana Luisa Soares and Ahmed Belkhodja. While both hedonistic and restrained, the atelier takes lightness and joy very seriously. The atelier?s work has been exhibited at the Architecture Biennials in Venice and Chicago, the Serralves Foundation and the Pavillon de l?Arsenal in Paris, and in single exhibitions in Panama, Italy, Macedonia, France and Portugal.0The founders? projects can be characterised by a tendency towards an emerging independence of architectural language. The development of their individual style is linked to their typical commissions. Some projects come across like topical declinations of the same programme: separation of auxiliary funcions from a main space, zoning of the plan, opening and staging the view onto a small courtyard.
