Summary:

A rare augmented edition of a festival book commemorating 925 years of imperial rule from Charlemagne to Karl VI. A sumptuous publication and a masterpiece of south German baroque illustration. The architecture - a triumphal arch dedicated to each century of rule - was designed by the Antwerp born Peter Schubart von Ehrenberg, and engraved by Johann Ulrich Kraus, and jointly by J.C. Engelbrecht and J.A. Pfeffel. The celebratory verses and biographical notices were provided by Bömer, a Westphalian Jesuit.
