Caption title, of v. 1, 3, and 5. The volumes issued later have caption title L'architecture française, except v. 9, which alone has t.p., reading: Architecture française : monuments historiques, Xe [sic] série. Paris et ses monuments.
Vol. 8 suggests that Armand Guérinet is the editor of the work as well as publisher.
Vols. 1 and 8 bear no number or special title. The others are numbered, using the designation "volume" or "série" interchangeably; v. 9 is misnumbered 10.
Vols. 1, 3, 5, 7-8, 10-11 contain 458 consecutively numbered plates of exterior views and, except for v. 1 and 8, have special title: Extérieurs.
Vols. 2, 4, 6 contain 219 consecutively numbered plates of interior views and all have special title: Intérieurs.
Vol. 9 has special title: Paris et ses monuments, and contains 55 plates.
Some or all volumes were reissued with some plates in altered states or, occasionally, replaced by entirely different views of the same object.
LC Set 1 has binding error in v. 6 and 7: in both cases contents leaf and first 3 plates bound at end.
