Summary:

"The Archive of Forgetfulness is shaped by convergences and divergences, overlaps and variations in perspectives and positions. Each phase of the project has built on what came before, yet expands into a new offering. The website offers a unique platform to hold the accumulation of these varied works in a moment of simultaneity, to engage with the difficulties of African pasts, the messiness of promise and potential in moments of decolonisation and anti-colonialism, and to explore possibilities for alternative futures. This publication is a catalogue of the works featured on the website, offering traces and shadows of the digital version which remains live for 2022 at archiveofforgetfulness.com. It marks a moment and time, and acts as a physical remnant of the collection of work online, and we hope, a starting point for further conversations"--Page 5.
