In 1922 the manufacturer of Built Rite Doll House was making cardboard boxes, and by the mid-1930s producing cardboard construction toys. Paper toys of every kind were popular from the turn of the century and were turned out in great numbers during the second World War when the use of certain other materials was prohibited. Always quick to respond to developments in the social and built environment, Warren Paper Products created this remarkable modernist house in addition to such items as a Railroad Accessory Set, an airport, a complete Toy Village, and, during the War, a series of forts complete with cardboard soldiers. The Company continues to produce games and puzzles.
