In 1940, the Slavonic year-book. American series, ISSN 2326-6597, split off from: Slavonic and East European review. Later it became the Slavonic and East European review. American series, ISSN 2330-6246. After 1945, it was reabsorbed in part by the Slavonic and East European review while the American series continued as: American Slavic and East European review.
