"The rapid transformation of our landscapes over the last few decades raises a number of questions about the developing relations between societies and their environment and, consequently, about the new kinds of teaching programmes that might best address these changes. For many years, as heirs to a cerrtain way of thinking about the world, we have tended to separate the teaching of landscape, urbanism and architecture. Arguably, this division needs to be reconsidered if we are to properly deal with the issues of today's environment.
