Summary:

Leon Battista Alberti was an outstanding polymath of the 15th century, alongside Piero della Francesca & before Leonardo da Vinci. While his contributions to architecture & the visual arts are well known, his mathematical works are not well represented. The four treatises included here are valuable in rounding out the portrait of this thinker.
