Recordings of a public lecture given by Pierre du Prey, professor of art history at Queen's University, discussing how Soane's understanding of brickwork shaped his architecture. Presented on May 17, 2001 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal, as the first of three lectures in a series entitled "Réflexions sur John Soane / Reflections on Sir John Soane", held in conjunction with the exhibition "John Soane 1753-1837", on view at the CCA May 16-Sept. 3, 2001.
