Summary:

Surveys the work of Martín Chambi, a Peruvian Indian photographer who documented the lives of Peruvian Indians in the Cuzco region and the lifestyles of the European ruling class of Peru for over fifty years. Features numerous photographs by Chambi as well as interviews and scenes of contemporary Peruvian Indian life that explore the gains and set-backs the Indians have experienced in preserving their culture and participating in the affairs of modern Peru.
