Recordings of a lecture held at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal, Feb. 24, 2000. Dinu Bumbaru presents the history and construction of La Place des Arts, Montréal, followed by a conversation and question period with Jean Ouellet, who discusses the Complexe Desjardins and its relation to the Place des Arts project. The event was organized in collaboration with Heritage Montréal, and was the third in a series of lectures entitled, "Le paysage culturel" = "A Place for Culture", presented as a compliment to the exhibition "En chantier, les collections du CCA, 1989-1999" = "En chantier, the collections of the CCA, 1989-1999", held at the CCA Nov. 24, 1999-Apr. 30, 2000.
