Summary:

The present research text is the definitive account of the conception, project and creation as well as the relationship established between architects Le Corbusier and Amancio Williams during the construction process of one of the most interesting projects of modern architecture: the House Curutchet a masterpiece of Le Corbusian architecture and an outstanding example of his architectural principle "machine habiter" (A house is a machine for living in). The house of Dr. Pedro Domingo Curutchet, the only built project by the noted architect in Latin America, was constructed between 1949 and 1950 and included the participation of Argentinean architect Amancio Williams, who with Le Corbusier's authorization modified the project and was in charge of the direction and execution of the construction.
