Summary:

"The monograph on Kaare Klint (1888-1954) is the first comprehensive presentation of his work: the history of each project, its context, and its relationship to its own time. Based on years of research by Gorm Harkær, it is one of the results of his KAARE KLINT PROJECT, in which he systematically registered Klint's drawings and compiled information on and photographs of Klint's entire oeuvre. Both volumes are richly illustrated. Individual projects are presented through Klint's distinctive sketches on squared paper. Working drawings are reproduced on fixed scales to facilitate a comparison of the pieces. Most of the black-and-white photographs were taken at Klint's initiative, as each project was completed, by the period's leading photographers, including Jonals Co., Erik Hansen, Peder Maarbjerg, and Bror Bernild."-- Provided by publisher
