Audio recording of a lecture given by Mark Wasiuta on Oct. 1, 1998. He discusses his views on lawns such as their minimalist beauty, how their maintenance is a practice of citizenship, and court cases involving lawns. The event was the third in a series of lectures entitled "Terrains de rêve" = "Fields of dreams" which were presented in conjunction with the exhibition "Surface du quotidien : La pelouse en Amérique" = "The American Lawn: Surface of Everyday Life", for which Wasiuta worked as associate curator. The event was recorded at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal. Includes introductory remarks by Nancy Dunton.
