Competition held in Tokyo in conjunction with the World Architecture Triennale NARA 1992 held in the city of Nara, May 1992. Whereas internationally known architects from all over the world will be invited to participate in the Nara Triennale, the NARA/TOTO World Architecture Triennale (Open Division) in Tokyo will be open mainly to young architects from both at home and abroad.
Theme: Symbiosis of history and the future: architecture that has hetero-cultural fusion as its goal.
