Summary:

This work includes Leibniz's reinterpretation of the traditional opposition between geometric and landscaped gardens. By the shape of its plants, its traffic plan, its fountains and sculptures, and its dimensions, Herrenhausen garden belongs to the most important groups in the history of gardens. And it is a perfect example of geometric garden, it also allows to rethink the traditional opposition between the English landscape garden and the French garden. The key to this interpretation is Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Observing that any kind has an individual form, Leibniz considers the diversity of forms as a snapshot of a changing world. Therefore, it is in the detail unfolds diversity, the effect is even stronger it is limited by straight lines, and it is in the continuum of the variation regularity lies geometric space.
