"Lola Álvarez Bravo spent more than fifty years taking pictures of different aspects of the social and cultural life of Mexico. She made a chronicle of life in the country, and her pictures became first-rate visual documents, not only for the history of our photography, but for the history of Mexican society as well. Lola Álvarez Bravo and the Photography of an Era is based on the study of one of her archives, previously unknown.
