Summary:

"Co-published with the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain the book "Villes/Cities/StØ̌Þte" accompanies the recent exhibitiion of world-renowned French photojournalist Raymond Depardon at the Museum fœ̌ø Fotografie in Berlin. This special project brings together a series of seven short films that were first presented at the Fondation Cartier in the Fall of 2004. These five-minute films capture daily life in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Berlin, Moscow, Shanghai, Addis-Abeba and Cairo. In addition, Depardon also presents five new films on the cities of Buenos Aires, Paris, New York, Johannesburg and Dubai, realized specifically for the exhibition in Berlin. This catalogue includes a series of photographs Depardon realized during his stay in each of these twelve cities as well as an introductory text providing us with his personal point of view on his travels."--Web site. http://www.steidlville.com/books/516-Villes-Cities-St-dte.html (viewed on 15 May, 2007).
