Summary:

Architect and researcher Andrés Fernández explores the secrets behind several historic buildings (of which some only exist today in photos) in San Jose in a total of 21 articles published between 2005 and 2010 in the supplement "Áncora" of newspaper "La Nación" and in the magazine "Su Casa". In addition to narrating the "life and miracles" behind these 19 buildings, the author includes a couple of texts dedicated to two great architects who left a valuable legacy in Costa Rica: Francisco Tenca (1861-1908) and Jaime Carranza (1875-1930).
