Principal projects: annex of the Palais de justice de Montréal (1920-1926); principal pavilion, Université de Montréal (1924-1943); personal residence of Ernest Cormier, 1418, avenue des Pins ouest, Montréal (1930-1931); Supreme Court of Canada, Ottawa (1938-1950); National Press of Canada, Hull (1950-1958); Grand Séminaire de Québec, Québec (1957-1960). An exhibition catalogue "Ernest Cormier et l'Université de Montréal" has been published (CCA, 1990).

Biographical note:

Ernest Cormier (1885-1980) was born in Montréal, Québec. B. SC.A., École Polytechnique de Montréal (1906); École des Beaux-Arts de Paris (1908-1914), diplômmé in 1917; Jarvis Studentship, Royal Institute of British Architects, Rome (1914-1916). Engineer, Dominion Bridge, Montréal (1906-1908); Engineer, Considère, Pelnard et Caquot, Paris (1917-1918). In private practice, architect and engineer, Montréal (1918-1974).
