This oversize volume (9.5x13.5") presents full-size b&w plates of the completed projects and working drawings that were carried out in the 1960s and 1970s by the designer Sottsass, who was, for 30 years, a design consultant for Olivetti and founded the design group Memphis. More than simply design projects, the works in this volume engage with symbolic ideas common to conceptual art, including the creation of symbolic beds, doors, rooms, and architectural forms in the barren landscape of Spain.
