Summary:
Best known for her innovative choreographies that revolutionized modern dance, Trisha Brown has for many years made drawings and other works beyond the stage that integrate the performing and visual arts. Drawing has long featured prominently in her practice, shifting from a tool for schematic composition into a fully realized component of her broader investigation into the limits of her own body. Whether she is working within the frame of a sheet of paper, on the wall, or on the stage, Brown delights in the play between structure and improvisation, repetition and invention, choice and chance. This book centers on a broad survey of Brown's visual arts practice going back more than three decades. The catalogue features more than 40 drawings and includes essays by exhibition curator Peter Eleey and Walker performing arts senior curator Philip Bither as well as a specially commissioned survey of Brown's drawing vocabulary contributed by the artist.

Summary:
Radical Philosophy is a journal of socialist and feminist philosophy. It was founded in 1972 in response to the widely felt discontent with the sterility of academic philosophy at the time (in Britain completely dominated by the narrowest sort of "ordinary language" philosophy), with the purpose of providing a forum for the theoretical work which was emerging in the wake of the radical movements of the 1960s, in philosophy and other fields. Radical Philosophy is not committed to any particular philosophy, ideology or political programme. The purpose of the journal is to provide a forum for debate and discussion of theoretical issues on the left. It encourages the serious and informed discussion of such issues in clear and non-technical language, aimed to reach a wide audience.

Summary:
Published twice a year, the Netherlands Architecture Institute's house journal "Architecture Bulletin" presents essays (in word and image) on the built environment of today, yesterday and tomorrow-subjective arguments complemented by personal reflection, but always emphasizing the essay as an appropriate form for the consideration of architecture. These essays originate from design disciplines such as architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture, or from architecture historians, philosophers, artists and sociologists. "Architecture Bulletin" is about the ways that we arrive at judgments about architecture, whether we encounter them through the media or streamlined in a scale model. It is also about the ways in which architecture can imbue our identities and behaviors with meaning, in metropolises like Hong Kong, postcolonial nations like Indonesia or at home, wherever that may be. These essays are about every aspect of architecture's impact in our world today.
